| SPICED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS RECIPE
Spiced Chicken Drumsticks
Spiced Chicken Drumsticks (Serves 4)
8 chicken drumsticks
1 tbsp water
4 tbsp rolled oats
grated rind of 1 orange
1 tsp curry powder
1 tbsp plain flour
50g polyunsaturated margarine, melted.
Beat the egg with the water.
Crush the oats with a rolling pin and mix with the orange rind and curry powder.
Coat each drumstick with flour, then egg.
Finally pat the oats firmly on to the drumsticks, coating them evenly.
Arrange the drumsticks in a roasting tin, pour the melted margarine over them and bake in a pre-heated oven (180C, 350F,
Gas Mark 4) for 20 mins.
Increase the oven temperature to hot (220C, 425F, Gas Mark 7), and cook the drumsticks for a further 15 mins. or until
crisp and golden.
Serve with jacket potatoes or brown rice and green salad.
